Obituary of John A. Zwijacz

John A. Zwijacz, 86, a resident of Route 50, died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at his home. Born February 15, 1926 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late Stanley and Rosa Zwijacz. John was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He served in the Navy for 13 years and was on the LST669. He worked construction for many years and was a logger. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings Broanislaus (Burt) Zwijacz, Helen Cassa, Gladys Hildebrant, Stanley Zwijacz, Joseph Zwijacz, Frank Zwijacz, Theodore Zwijacz and Leon Zwijacz. Survivors include his wife Marian Fryer Zwijacz of Saratoga Springs; 1 daughter, Paula (Brian) Murray of Broadalbin; 2 sons, Gary Zwijacz of Northville and Andrew (Ellen) Zwijacz of Bear, DE; his beloved granddaughter Catherine Zwijacz and grandson, Zandan Zwijacz. Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Schuylerville. There will be no calling hours. Memorials can be made in his memory to Community Hospice, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Arrangements are under the direction of Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville.
