Obituary of Doris Dubrey

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Wife and Mother, Doris Annette Dubrey. Doris, 79, died in her home in Saratoga Springs, New York surrounded by her most precious accomplishments, her children. After a brief but aggressive battle with liver cancer, she succumbed to the horrible disease November 9, 2012. Doris was born August 21, 1933 in North Greenbush, NY to the late Irene Wilday Beaudoin and George Wilday. She was married briefly to Raymond French, and had her daughter, Linda (Art Whitney) Vandeputte of Averill Park. She later married George Dubrey of Cohoes, NY, and was blessed with 3 more children; Roland (Kristina) Dubrey of Saratoga, Dawn Medick(Bill Beasley) of Schuylerville and Michele (James) Guy of South Glens Falls. Doris was also very proud of her grandchildren, Nicole Menard, Christopher Vandeputte, Kaitlyn Austin-Cooper, Brittany and Tyler Cooper, Joseph Guy, Ethan and Sydney Dubrey and Jessica Beasley, as well as 2 great grandchildren, Savannah Menard and Adeleigh Pereira. She was one of 4 children, and is survived by her sister, Georgiana (Lloyd "Butch") Proctor of Wynantskill and brother, Oliver J .(Gail) Beaudoin, Jr. of Florida. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step father, Oliver J. Beaudoin, Sr., sister, Eileen (Daniel) Hearne and grandson, Jason Vandeputte. Doris was known for her fun and loving sense of humor. She and her husband of 48 years, George Dubrey, were proud owners of Fish Creek Marina on Fish Creek, Stafford Bridge Road, Saratoga until 2000, as well as founders of F.I.S.H. USA. Those years brought them great memories, wonderful friends and many fabulous stories that she would enjoy sharing with anyone. Since selling the business, she and George lived quietly in their home in Saratoga. She enjoyed her hobby of knitting and crocheting, which left many with an heirloom to treasure. The family would like to thank Saratoga Hospital for her care there, and especially the Community Hospice of Saratoga for their kind and caring support during those final days. A private Memorial will be held for close family and friends. Flowers are gratefully declined in lieu of donations to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
