Obituary of Patricia E. Towns

Patricia E. Towns, 82, a lifetime Greenwich resident passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Facility, Argyle. Born May 28, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Gertrude (Lyons) O’Malley. Pat retired from Victory Specialty, Victory Mills. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, Greenwich. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 47 years Vernon Towns; two brothers, John O’Malley and James O’Malley and one sister Jeanette Sherin. Surviving is one son Randy (Phyllis) Towns of Baltimore, MD and one daughter Lizabeth (Greg) Hoefer of Clifton Park; grandchildren, Ian, Crystal and Samantha; three great-granddaughters and one great-grandson; two brothers, Mark O’Malley and Bill O’Malley; six sisters, Mary Sisson, Celia Grenquist, Rita McMurray, Helen Worshiner, Margaret Uline and Leona Miller. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to call from 5-7PM, Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
