Obituary of Raymond Dwyer Jr.
Raymond E. Dwyer Jr., 82, a lifetime resident of Greenwich died Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Saratoga Hospital. Born October 25, 1930, he was the son of Raymond E. and Monica (Cronin) Dwyer Sr. Ray was a graduate of Greenwich Central High School. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the 1945 Tri- County Championship football team. He then went to school and was a graduate of Canton College. Ray was an army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the Greenwich Post #515 American Legion. He was one of the founding members and past president of The Adirondack Live Steamers Train Club. Ray operated his own business, Dwyerâs Plumbing and Heating in Greenwich for many years. Ray was a communicant of St. Josephâs Church, Greenwich. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Olga Fedich Dwyer. Surviving are two sons; John C. Dwyer of Greenwich and Raymond D. (Cheri) Dwyer of Vinton, VA, two sisters; Margaret Webb of Florida and Joan (Ernest) Teal of Averill Park, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at St. Josephâs Church, Greenwich with Rev. Martin Fisher officiating. The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Josephâs Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2012 at Flynn Bros.
