Obituary of Stanley R. Fontaine

Stanley R. Fontaine, 69, passed peacefully to his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday Jan. 6, 2012. He was the son of Lou and Olive Fontaine of Carmichael, CA and was married to Phoebe Haas Hunt. Stan was a member of the Schuylerville United Methodist Church, and was a veteran having served with the US Coast Guard. Prior to his retirement he had been employed as a chef in area restaurants and worked in construction. Stanley was predeceased by his former wife, Sandra Woznack. Survivors in addition to his parents, and his wife Phoebe of Clarks Mills, include his son, Paul Fontaine and grandson Ryan Fontaine, both of Fort Myers, FL; sisters, Joan Kramer and Carolyn Rousseau of California, and Beth Shaffer, of New Jersey; brothers, Mark Fontaine, Stephen Fontaine and Garry Fontaine all of California; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am January 21, 2013 at the Schuylerville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bonnie Bates and Rev. Al Johnson, officiating. A committal service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Memorial gifts may be made to the Schuylerville United Methodist Church or the C R Woods Cancer Center.
