Obituary of Edward V. Brown
Edward V. Brown, 82, a former Schuylerville resident, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Saratoga Hospital. Born September 23, 1930, in Cambridge, NY, he was the son of Peter and Mary Lesson Brown. For many years Ed operated a restaurant and pizza parlor in Schuylerville. In later years he was employed by New York State as an electrician at the Wilton Developmental Center retiring in 1992. He loved music and enjoyed playing the piano and was very supportive of his sons in their pursuit of a musical career. Ed was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Helena DeLuca Brown, second wife, Constance Flanagan Brown, and a daughter, Elena Brown. Survivors include his sons, Kim (Christine) Brown and Christopher Brown both of Gansevoort; daughter, Serena (Dean) Connor of Waterford; sister, Peggy (Bill) Shatraw of Colonie; grandsons, Mark and Aaron Connor; granddaughters, Jennifer and Corinne Brown; great grandchildren, Courtney and Cassidy Arlington, Adriana Bronzene, Dominick Notro, and Elena Connor; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private and interment will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Wilmington, Delaware. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the Rubin Dialysis Center in Saratoga Springs and suggests memorials in his name be directed to the center.
