Obituary of Toni Jean Snell
Toni Jean Mclean Snell, 74, a resident of Bulson Rd in Easton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at home after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Troy, NY on May 25, 1943 to the late Eugene and Mary Delprete Mclean.
She met the love of her life Ashley Herbert Snell in the fall of 1962 and they were married on February 24, 1963 and together they had three children. She loved her family and grandchildren deeply. She enjoyed garage sales, playing the poker machine slot at the casino, was an excellent card player, and was an excellent bowler winning many championships with the ladies. Toni was a true country girl. She enjoyed raising chickens. however, when it came to butchering them that was a different story. Anybody who has ever met her says that she was a very generous woman, kind-hearted and loved by all. She was employed at the Hannaford Deli in Greenwich and was loved by all there; the family would like to thank the workers at Hannaford for their generosity they have helped Toni tremendously. Dr. Seyferth and the staff at Southern Vermont Medical Center providing excellent care for Toni.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her cousin Peggy Delprete
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years Ashley Herbert Snell; daughters Mary-Ellen Snell Winchester and Ann Marie Snell Noyes; son Michael Rodney (Renee) Snell; grandchildren Lilly and Audrey Noyes, Lucas, Nathan and Tyler Winchester, Brendan Olivia, Madison and Katie Snell; sister Christina Hornick; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 11-1pm on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 36 Bleecker St, Greenwich, NY, 12834
A mass of a Christian burial will follow calling hours at 1pm at St. Joseph’s Church with the Rev. Tom Zelker officiating.
Burial will follow mass at 2:30pm in the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell St, Schuylerville, NY, 12871 at 2:30pm
