I had the opportunity to work with Harry at Criterion Bow Tie Cinema in Saratoga Springs. We are the few retirees that work the Door position at the theater.
Harry! What a character he was. Yes, intelligent, funny, had enough stories to write a book. He helped some of the younger staff without saying a word. He will be missed.
I offer my prayers to Carol, family and friends that God will give them peace.

Harry my Friend! I will never forget you pal! You were a very, very dear friend and I will miss you immensely! I will always remember all of the laughs and great times that we had! The many rounds of golf with you and my dad Sam were some of the best times people could have together. Most of all, you were there back in my younger days when I needed a friend and mentor! As I had told you many times, your generosity and guidance made a huge contribution to helping me become a success in my later years! I learned from you that salesmen are a dime a dozen, but the ones who have the greatest impact and success with their clients, treat them as genuine friends first and foremost! A great lesson indeed! Those who are truly genuine and trustworthy...and those who don't have to fake how they feel about every individual that they come across are the true winners in this world...and you won big Harry! You always treated everyone like a friend in this way and that is what made you not only one of the best salesmen I every knew but one of the greatest friends a person could have! I am so glad that we spoke on the phone early last week. Our one and a half hour phone call was filled will lots of laughs (as usual), memories (like seeing Rodney Dangerfield together in Latham) and your wisdom and life lessons. I will always cherish those memories! I know now that you are reunited with your family and are probably teeing it up with my dad on one of those heavenly golf courses up there! Hit em' straight pal, and try not to badger my dad to much while he's putting...you know how that bugged him LOL! Love you very very much Harry...I am honored to say that you are one of the best friends that I ever had! God rest your dear soul!
Carol and family, please know that although I cannot be there in person at this time, I am there in my heart and in my spirit. I know this is a difficult time for all, but of course, for you especially. Harry and I were very close and I will get up there soon to give my proper respects. Until then, you are all in my prayers! Love you...Eric Pangborn
