Obituary of Evelyn R. Weils

Evelyn R. Weils, 92, a former resident of Smithville, died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs, surrounded by her family. Born July 31, 1920 in Greenwich, NY she was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Maude Robinson Perkins. Mrs. Weils enjoyed Bingo, bowling, reading and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert B. Weils in 1986; 1 daughter, Joyce Wood; 6 brothers, Harry, Charles, Gerald, Richard, Robert and Donald Perkins; 1 sister, Mary Mosher; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Survivors include 5 sons, Albert (Janice) Weils of Smithville, Burton (Hope) Weils of Queensbury, James (Sue) Weils and Bruce (Kathy) Weils of Schuylerville, and Allan Weils of Orlando, FL; 4 daughters, Jean (Burl) Cook of Delton, Mich., Susan (James) Perry of Greenwich, Ilene (late Gary) Bogue of Schaghticoke, and Barbara (Frank) Scaglione of Schuylerville; 2 brothers, Ralph Perkins of Greenwich and Burton Perkins of Mechanicville; 1 sister, Jackie Pfeiffer of Easton; 38 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 6pm Friday, February 22, 2013 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, with Rev. Virginia Cornell, officiating. Spring burial will be in the Gansevoort Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-6pm prior to the service. Memorials can be made in her memory to Community Hospice of Saratoga or the Activities Fund at Wesley Health Care Center.
