Larry G Cartwright

1943 - 2018

Monday, November 5, 2018, Larry G Cartwright, age 75, of Schuylerville, NY, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones.

Larry was born in Cobleskill NY to Donald and Crystal (Schrader) Cartwright.  In February 1965 he married Judith Krystofik and in 1968 they welcomed their son Timothy.  Military and career opportunities enabled the family to relocate to states of Virginia, Georgia, New Jersey, Texas and finally in 1980, back to New York.

In the financial field for over 55 years Larry retired from Transworld Entertainment in 2010.  Following retirement Larry and Judy relocated to Schuylerville, NY to be close to their son and grandchildren.    

Engaged in a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia, a neurological brain disease,  Larry wished to help future generations through research.  At his request Larry made the ultimate and unselfish decision of an “anatomical gift” to brain bank research through The Alzheimer’s Center of Albany Medical Center. 

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Judith Cartwright, son Timothy Cartwright, grandchildren Olivia Ann and Wyatt Evan Thomas Cartwright and mother Crystal Cartwright.  Larry was preceded in death by father Donald L. Cartwright and sister Barbara J. Moore.
