Obituary of Marion M. Warner

Marion M. Warner, 85, a resident of Hayes Rd., died Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs after a long illness. Born March 11, 1928 in Lake Luzerne, she was the daughter of Harold and Fayetta Barber Ormsby. Mrs. Warner enjoyed spending time with her family and was known for her good cooking. She liked reading, gardening and re-decorating. She had worked at Birches in Hudson Falls and Espey Manufacturing in Saratoga Springs. She was a former member and president of Quaker Springs Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and the Quaker Springs Methodist Church Women’s Society. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by an infant son, Floyd Wood Jr.; 2 brothers, Larry and Leonard Ormsby; and 1 sister Edna Bennett. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Warner Sr. of Schuylerville; her best friend of 70 years, Colleen Biele of Hudson Falls; her children, Jodi Evans of South Glens Falls, Craig Wood (Tina) of Stillwater, Tina Starks of Pleasantdale, and Gary Wood (Lois) of AZ; 3 grandchildren, Garrett Evans, Rebecca Scott and Amanda Starks; 1 sister, Dorothy Gagne of Ballston Spa; 1 brother, Donald Ormsby of Schuylerville; stepchildren, Denise Fortner of FL, Sherri Arnold of Schuylerville, Dale Reynolds of FL, Raymond Warner Jr. “Buck” of Schuylerville, Wendy Kriner of FL; several step grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday, April 5, 2013 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville with Rev. Virginia Cornell, officiating. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 1-2pm prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff at Wesley Health Care Center for the care that was given to Marion. Memorials can be made in her memory to Community Hospice of Saratoga.
