Obituary of Betty Reinhardt

Elizabeth D. “Betty” Reinhardt, 88, a longtime resident of Greenwich passed away peacefully Saturday, April 20, 2019.

Born May 11, 1930 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Forst.

Elizabeth worked as a buyer for Bamberger/Macy’s Department Store before moving to Greenwich. In Greenwich, she worked for Wallies Restaurant for 25 years. She then went to work at Greenwich Central School District and Hannaford until she retired. She loved being around family and her beloved cat Garth.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Arthur of 64 years.

She is survived by her; 2 sons John (Dawn) Reinhardt of Gansevoort; Jason Reinhardt of Greenwich; 3 daughters Betsy Sumner of Schuylerville; Kathy (Carl) Hichman of Glens Falls; and Susan Shinn of Greenwich; 4 grandchildren John, Glen, Jessica, and Joshua and 11 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 6pm Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich, with the Rev. Sandra Spaulding officiating.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-6pm prior to the service.

Interment will be at Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
