He and his family have hosted Sundae on the Farm twice, in the summers of 2002 and 2011, and the NYS Holstein Picnic, in the summer of 2004. Larry was honored with two of the most prestigious state agricultural awards, the NYS Holstein Association Master Breeder in 2003 and the NYS Century Farm Award in 1993. He was also a committee member for Saratoga County Soil and Water, Dairylea Cooperative, and Agway. He was a deacon and longtime member of the Bacon Hill Reformed Church. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by their son, Kyle Peck.
