Obituary of Celia M Flatley

Celia M. Flatley, 100, died Friday May 3, 2013 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Argyle. Born December 26, 1912 in Easton, NY she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Hayes Flatley. Celia had been employed at the Pine Spring Shirt Company on Hill St. in Greenwich for many years. She was a member of the Greenwich Senior Citizens and enjoyed traveling with her sister. She was the oldest member of St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Jerome Flatley and sister Rita Butler. Survivors include 1 nephew, Thomas (Terry) Butler of Greenwich; 3 nieces, Bernadette Little of Easley, SC, Donna Marie Jones of Troy, and Myra Cuilla of Mechanicville. A funeral mass will be held at 9am Monday, May 6, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich, with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Schaghticoke. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-5pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich. Celia would want the world to know that the staff at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home treated her like family and she enjoyed her stay there. Memorials can be made in her memory to St. Joseph’s Church Restoration Fund.
