Obituary of Audrey R. DeLong

Audrey R. DeLong, 95, a former resident of West Sand Lake, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation’s in Bennington, Vermont. Born March 2, 1918 in Hoosick Falls, she was the daughter of Frank and Amelia Kehn Reynolds. Mrs. DeLong had been employed as a secretary at RPI College in Troy and was a former member of the Eastern Star. She loved to paint and was a really good artist. In her younger years she enjoyed skiing and her family and many friends enjoyed her wonderful cooking. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Wilmer Hudson, second husband, Glenn DeLong, son-in-law, Thomas Hunt, brother, Frank Reynolds, and infant granddaughter. Molly Hudson. Survivors include 2 sons, Robert (Leigh Ann) Hudson of Cambridge, and Thomas (Cheri) Hudson of Columbia Falls, Maine; daughter, Patricia Hunt of Roanoke, Virginia; 1 brother, Howard (Betty) Reynolds of Hoosick Falls; 7 grandchildren, Sue Deegan, Tom Hunt, Edward Hunt, Eric Hudson, Heidi Record, Hannah Hudson, and Blair Hudson; 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation’s for their kindness and care. For her love of animals, the family suggests memorials in her name be directed to your local animal shelter.
