Obituary of Charles E. Yale
Charles E. Yale, a resident of Greenwich, passed away Friday June 7, 2013 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Facility with his family around him, following a year long illness. Born in Troy, July 13, 1922 the son of Frank W. and Josephine (Belmer) Yale. He attended Lansingburgh Schools, enlisting in the Army during World War II. He was a tank commander in the European Theater, was at D-Day, the Battle Of The Bulge and many other battles. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his step-mother Louise M. Yale and his first wife Clara (Jones) Yale. He is survived by his wife Lynda (Britt) Yale of Greenwich, his daughters; Linda Zone of Baldwinsville and Sandy (Charles) Nash of Waterford, his grandchildren; Timothy of Connecticut and Jennifer of Waterford and one great grandson. Also his very special family, Doug and Christine Kipling and his special grandson Sammy. He is also survived by his faithful four legged companion Daisey. Friends may call Monday 4 to 7 pm at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich, NY. A service will follow at 7 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Mann, officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Middletown Springs, VT.
