Obituary of Lewis E. Jenison

Lewis E. Jenison, 93, a resident of Jewel Road and more recently of the Orchard Nursing Home in Granville, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Glens Falls Hospital. Lewis was born in Little Falls, NY on May 15, 1920 and was the son of Charles and Pearl Moore Jenison. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal, and European African Service Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Saratoga Springs and had attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Gansevoort. He had been employed by Local # 106 Operating Engineers Union. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Vance Jenison and a brother, Donald Survivors are his sons, William (Joyce) Jenison of Saratoga Springs, Lewis (Pat) Jenison of Gansevoort, David Jenison of Salem, and Lee (Donna) Jenison of Greenfield Stepsons, Albert John Vance, Harold F. Vance of Gansevoort, Wayne Vance of Florida, and Gary Vance of Lawrenceville, GA; 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer Jenison A funeral service will be conducted at 6 PM Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville with the Rev. Patti Molik, Pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 pm prior to the service. Interment will be 9:30 AM Friday at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. The family suggests memorials in his name be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church.
