Obituary of Betsy J. Johnson

Betsy J. Durham Johnson, 81, a resident of State Route 40 South, died peacefully at the home of her daughter, Saturday, November 2, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born September 29, 1932 in Cambridge, NY she was the daughter of the late Charles Durham and Blanche (Carl) Fletcher. Mrs. Johnson retired from GE in Fort Edward and worked part time at the Greenwich Elks Club. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and she liked NASCAR. Survivors include her son, Gordon E. (Denise) Waters, Robert (Kathy) Fletcher, and Lauren Fletcher Burns, all of Greenwich; 2 grandchildren, Fletcher and Carlin Burns; 1 brother, William (Libby) Durham of Queensbury and 2 nephews, Charles (Karen) and William (Julie) Durham. A funeral service will be held at 4:30pm Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich with Rev. Keith Mann, officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2:30-4:30pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials can be made in her memory to the Easton Greenwich Rescue Squad, PO Box 84, Greenwich, NY 12834.
