Obituary of Eleanor M. Osberg

Eleanor Marie Worden Osberg, 88, a former resident of Greenwich, died Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Saratoga Hospital after a brief illness. Born April 14, 1925 in Arlington, MA she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Thelma David Worden. Mrs. Osberg retired from the Greenwich Central School where she had been employed for 30 years. She enjoyed crafting, camping, traveling, gardening and most of all spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Harris Osberg, an infant son, and 2 sisters. Survivors include 2 daughters, Cynthia (Jack) Wheeldon of Florida, and Nancy (Steve) Otrembiak of Saratoga Springs; 7 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11am Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at St. Clements Church, Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Schaghticoke, NY. Friends may call on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 6-8pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville. Memorials can be made in her memory to the Saratoga Hospital Angel Fund through the hospital foundation, 211 Church St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Eleanor was a selfless, loving, wife, mother and grandmother and was strong in her faith.
