Obituary of Gloria Jean Perkins

Gloria Jean Perkins, 79, a resident of South Glens Falls, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, surrounded by her friends and family.

She was born, August 15, 1943, in Greenwich, NY, to the late Robert L. Perkins Sr. and Catherine L. (Rogers) Perkins.

Gloria first and foremost was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She had a nice personality and spent most of her life in Greenwich.  She worked for many years as a custodian for Greenwich Central School and the Saratoga Harness Track.  She loved her parents dearly and had a special bond with her father, together they enjoyed watching Gunsmoke.  Gloria loved anything purple, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Joseph Robert Bozony; brothers Bill H. Perkins and Robert L. Perkins Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Richard (Cynthia) Ramsey of South Glens Falls, Francis “Frank” Ramsey of Gansevoort, William Bozony of Colonie; daughters, Dorothy (Wes) Hazen of Troy, Katie Ramsey of Davenport; sister, Robin Perkins Morris of Queensbury; grandson, Nicholas (Kalea) Ramsey of South Glens Falls; great-grandson, Lincoln Ramsey of Scotia; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and close friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Flynn Bros, Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St, Greenwich, NY, 12834 with the Rev. Keith Mann officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwich Cemetery. 

Family and friends may call from 12 to 2 pm prior to her service at the Funeral Home.
