Obituary of Frank J. Mosso

Frank J. Mosso, 83, a resident of Academy St., died Friday, December 20, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born January 11, 1930 in New York, NY he was the son of the late William H. and Louise Durant Mosso. Mr. Mosso was a US Marine Corp. Veteran and had served during the Korean Conflict. He was a tugboat captain with Union Local #333 for 45 years in New York City. He was a member of the VFW Post #7291, American Legion Libetty Post # 515, was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and member of the K of C Council #1239 all in Greenwich. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by 1 son, Frank J. Mosso; 2 brothers, Joseph and James Mosso and 1 sister, Eva Wilkins. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Diane Dempsey Mosso of Greenwich; his children, Louise (George) Beck of Greenwich, Jennifer (Kevin Campbell) Myers of Greenwich, Thomas (Suzanne) Mosso of Charlotte, NC, William "Bo" Mosso of Cambridge, Andree' (John Mound) Johnson of Moreau, and daughter-in-law Marcia Mosso of Cincinnati, OH; 1 brother, William H. Mosso of Troy; 1 sister, Yvonne Moody of FL; grandchildren, James Jordan Jr, Brandy Jamieson, Adam Beck, Cara and Miranda Moss, Ashley Myers, Bradley Myers, Shyanne Genre, Jamie and TJ Mosso, Skyler, Sage and Shaeden Mosso, Tres and Amber Johnson; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30am Monday, December 23, 2013 at St. Joseph's Church in Greenwich with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich.
