Obituary of Barbara A. Schultz

Barbara Brilling Schultz, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on September 21, 2023, at the Home of The Good Shepard Memory Care Facility.

Barbara was one of seven children born to the late Peter Brilling and Anna (Coryer) Brilling on September 19, 1931, in Glens Falls, NY.

Barbara grew up in Glens Falls and attended Glens Falls High School until her mother passed away in 1946.  Barbara was fortunate to have a friend Marilyn Cutshall and her family asked her to come and live with them in Salem Oregon, where she graduated from Salem Oregon High School in 1948.

Upon returning to Glens Falls, Barabara met and married Robert Schultz on July 3, 1952, at the home of Harlan and Edna Cutshall in Queensbury, NY.

Barbara was a talented homemaker, artist, and gardener. She shared her talent with everyone in her family.  She enjoyed knitting, sewing, painting, crafting, and gardening.  Anyone was always welcome at her door.  She will be forever missed.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert Schultz and son Paul Schultz, her siblings, Olga, Robert, Peter, Burt, Connie & Carol and her special sister and friend Marilyn Smith.

She is survived by her daughter Sharon Schultz Labarge, daughter-in-law Nancy Schultz, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

At Barbara’s request there will be no viewing.  Her interment and celebration of life will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s-Dementia Chapter of NENNY.
