Obituary of Patricia M. Vance

Patricia M. Vance, 79, a resident of Jewell Rd., died December 25, 2013 at her son’s home in Moreau, surrounded by her family. Born September 12, 1934 in Fort Miller, she was the daughter of the late Gideon and Margaret DeMar Severin. Mrs. Vance was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Albert John Vance Jr. of Gansevoort; her children, Elizabeth Vance of Indian Lake, Earl Vance of Gansevoort, Steven (Michele) Vance of Gansevoort, Paul (Jean) Vance of Stillwater, Christopher (Judy) Vance of Moreau, and Albert John Vance III of Gansevoort; several grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. A memorial service and gathering for family and friends will be held from 5-7 pm Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Gansevoort Fire House, Route 32 in Gansevoort. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Chris, Judy and Alex for the wonderful care given to Patricia for the past few months. Memorials can be in her memory to either the Gansevoort Fire Department or a charity of one’s choice.
