Obituary of William H. Hughes

William H. Hughes, 88, a resident of County Rd. 68, Saratoga Springs, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Saratoga Hospital.

Born August 23, 1935 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late Gerald and Leola Barber Hughes.

Bill worked for many years at Larmon House Movers and then as a welder for the Saratoga County Highway Department in Ballston Spa, NY. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Gerald Hughes and sister, Elsie Woodcock.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Edna Hutchinson Hughes of Saratoga Springs; his son, David (Carol) Hughes of Florida; his daughter, Diane (Robert) Swartwout of Schuylerville; his sister, Nancy Priest of Saratoga Springs; and 4 granddaughters, Stephanie (Chris) Fusco, Sue Phillips, Kimberly Hughes and Kelly Hughes; as well as several great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10am Saturday, October 28, 2023 in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville.
