Obituary of Scott A. DuFour

Scott A. DuFour, 56, a resident of Greenwich, passed away following a long series of serious illnesses, on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Glens Falls, NY, to Leonard A. and Nancy (Parker) DuFour.

Scott grew up in Fort Edward until 1985, and moved to Greenwich where he began his electrician business, S A Dufour Electric.  He raised his two children Aislinn and Alex in Greenwich, moving to California for a brief time, before returning to his home.

Scott was always busy, working on various projects in his shop.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, camping, and especially 4-Wheeler riding with his brother Jeremy in the deserts of California. He briefly served in the United States Army before being medically discharged.

Scott could always be found at the local coffee shop, if there was coffee, you can bet Scott would be there. One cup could turn into hours of chatting and socializing with friends.   He enjoyed riding and fixing motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his stepmother, Cheryl DuFour, and nephew Cody Smithers.

Scott is survived by his loving partner of 11 years, Bridgett Cullen of Greenwich; children, Aislinn DuFour of Glens Falls and Alex (Kaylee) DuFour of Glens Falls; grandchildren, Killian and Calvin of Glens Falls; brothers, Christopher (Dawn) DuFour of Argyle, Jeremy DuFour of Hartford; sisters, Shari (Merrit) DuFour of Wells, VT, Jenny (Jason) DuFour of Hartford; 5 step-children, Alexander (Angela Delorenzo) Stevens, of Greenwich; Emily (Michael Brown) Stevens of Quaker Springs, Chloe (Sincere) Stevens of Albany, Lillian Knapp and Nataly Knapp of Greenwich; nieces and nephews, Nicole, Chris, Billy, John, Ashley, Sami, Xavier, Taylor and Aranna.
