Obituary of Margaret A. Bayly

Margaret A. “Peg” Bayly, 72, a resident of Green St., died at home Friday, December 27, 2013. Born July 27, 1941 in Troy, NY she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Marcella Kilcullen Gras. Mrs. Bayly attended Sacred Heart School in Watervliet, Catholic High School in Troy, and Albany Business College in Albany. She retired from Saratoga BOCES where she worked as a teachers aid for many years. She was a member and had been very active with the Old Saratoga Post #278 American Legion Auxiliary in Schuylerville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and will be truly missed. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 1 brother, Theodore Gras, and 1 son, Colin Bayly. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Brian Bayly of Schuylerville; her children, Kelly (Richard) Goldenberg of Schuylerville, Brian (Louie Pagoulatos) Bayly of Galway, Casey (Terry) Anderson of Saratoga Springs, Shannon (Todd) Silva of Ballston Lake, and Megan (Robert) Devanney of Clifton Park; grandchildren, Samuel, Alexa and Delaney Goldenberg, Bayly, Kiernan, Cohan and Aiden Anderson, Abigail and Audrey Silva, and Ryan Devanney; 2 brothers, Richard Gras of Troy and Arthur Gras of Republic of Philippines; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 4-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, NY 12871. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am Friday, January 3, 2014 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. A committal service will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Memorials can be made in her memory to the General Schuyler Emergency Squad, PO Box 111, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
