Obituary of Jock Nestor
Jock Nestor, 57, a resident of Fort Edward, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at his home.
He was born on January 11, 1966, in Ticonderoga, NY, to the late George and Juanita (Robbins) Nestor.
Jock grew up in Ticonderoga and spent time in NYC, when visiting his father. In NYC he learned his people skills and the art of BSing. In high school he anchored the offensive line for the football team. He was an avid fisherman, motorcycle rider, rock music fan, RC car collector, and enjoyed shooting guns. Jock was a big jokester, always making others laugh.
He was known as the cool Dad to his three children. He was the typical 80’s Dad, always picking them up from school in his 1980s green car, which he nicknamed the “Mean green love machine”. Jock may have been a big man with a hard outer shell, but he was definitely soft on the inside. Jock was a ladies man and extremely smart, especially when it came to computer technology. He worked for many years as the director of Ameri Clean Services. He will be missed by his family and all those that knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Steven Nestor as well as his grandparents.
Survivors include his loving children, Lacey Howe of Hudson Falls, Jacob Nestor of Hudson Falls and Mallory Nestor of Saratoga Springs; grandson, Dominik Lee; girlfriend, Jalene Havens of Glens Falls; his dog Sirus; brothers, George (Shelley) Nestor of Virginia Beach and Joseph Cahill of Costa Rica; nephews, Mark (Bridgette) Nestor of Northville, NY; niece, Mindy Kopenhafter; his best friend Paul Taylor and his son Pauly Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Valley View Cemetery, Route 9N, Ticonderoga, NY, 12883.
