John was a good friend of mine, not only as a classmate at SCS, but as a neighbor in the Town of Saratoga.
A couple of years ago, my cousin Tom Barber and I met John near his home. We had one of those "for old
time's sake" conversations and got caught-up on what was happening in our lives. It was nice to see him
again. I was surprised and saddened to hear of his passing, and I send my sincere condolences to his
entire family. His sister, Alma, was a good friend of mine, and I know his wife, Karen, from our high school
days. On behalf of the class of 1962, I honor John's memory today and always.
