Obituary of Sydney Linendoll
On December 25, 2023, Sydney Squires Linendoll flew into the arms of her late husband of 60 years, Richard “Dick” Linendoll and her son’s Millard “Bud” Linendoll and Ricky Linendoll.
She was born March 16, 1940, in Fort Miller, NY to the late Sidney Squires and Alice Squires Bovee-Booth.
In addition to her husband and two sons, she was predeceased by her parents, stepfather, Waldo “Elwaine” Booth, three brothers, Herbert “Buzz”, Paul (Bev) and Mike (Joann). Daughter in Laws, Debbie Linendoll, and Rita Wadsworth.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sue (Chet) Rogers, grand-daughter, Jessica “J.R” Rogers, son, Craig Linendoll; grandson, Eric Linendoll, grand-daughter, Ashley (Ryan) Dunlea; great-granddaughter, Annie May Linendoll great-grandson, Sean Patrick Dunlea; Bud’s children; K.C MacNeil, Michael Linendoll and their children, Keilana, Kadyn, and Mason MacNeil.
Sydney was a stay-at-home mom; her children never came home to an empty house. She always made sure there were three meals a day on the table. The house was clean, and the clothes were washed. Everyone was always welcomed. If need be, she would give you a hat, mittens, or socks.
For many years Sydney did daycare, all the kids loved her. She treated everyone like they were her own. She always said she didn’t have favorites, but possibly it was Penny Morton, Rachael Dwyer, and Ed Rogers. Sydney loved all her kids and has kept in touch through the years with many of them. One of her favorite things, was when friends came to camp. You might find 1 to 50 campers at her home on the Holidays. The food was always fabulous, and the music was always great.
The family would like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice for their wonderful care of their mother and Nana. The care and attention given to her was beyond measure. She loved you all.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Friday December 29, 2023, in Greenwich Cemetery with Rev. Keith Mann officiating.
