Obituary of Grace L. Wilson

Grace Lorraine Bruce Wilson passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Saratoga Hospital after a brief illness.

Grace was born January 24, 1955, in Glens Falls, to the late Hugh Bruce and Rose (Bigga) Ives Bruce. 

She attended Schuylerville Central School and worked numerous jobs, before she found her calling working as a student aide at Greenwich Central School. All the students loved her and she made a special bond with many of them, before her retirement in 2018.  She knew all of them by name even after her retirement.  All of the students would give smiles and hugs anytime they saw her. 

Grace is survived by her children, Tracy (Sabrina) Bruce of Holthelm, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany, and Cheryl Wilson of Saratoga Springs, NY; grandchildren Casey (Kaeleen) Bruce, of North Carolina, Kylie (Caleb) Bush of Delaware, Lily Bruce of Holthelm, Nordrehein-Westfalen, Germany, Mandisa Rose, Zaria Star, Divine Jermell and Judah Xavair Wilson, Justice Jermell and Arahjah Imani Johnson all of Saratoga, NY area; Her great grandchildren Hudson and Sutton Bruce of North Carolina; siblings, Betty, John, Hugh, Timothy, and Richard Bruce, Rose Ormsby, Dale Baldwin, and Patricia Henry; many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends, and her extended family at the Old Saratoga American Legion #278 in Schuylerville.

She was predeceased in death by her daughter Megan Archer, brothers, Keith, William, Robert, Forrest and Thomas Bruce; sister Mary Lou Brunell.

Grace suffered from a broken heart with the loss of her daughter Megan, therefore knowing her heartache the family requests donations in her memory, be made to Compassionate Friends at www.compassionatefriends.org or the American Legion in Schuylerville. 

Graces request was to have a celebration of life on January 21, 2024 at 2 pm at the Old Saratoga American Legion, 6 Clancy St, Schuylerville, NY, 12871.

"How you climb up the mountain is as important as how you get down the mountain and so it is with life, which for many of us its one gigantic test followed by a gigantic lesson.  In the end it comes down to one word Grace".
