Obituary of Albert F. Ramsey

Albert F. Ramsey Jr., 63, a resident of Gates Avenue in Victory Mills, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Born May 11, 1960 in Schenectady, NY he was the son of Patricia Gannon of Ticonderoga and the late Albert F. Ramsey Sr.

Albert had been employed at the Getty Station and Byron’s Market in Schuylerville and then retired from Price Chopper in Saratoga Springs.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering, working on cars, and being outside.  He was a former member of the Fish Creek Rod & Gun Club.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his step father, Arthur Gannon.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Mary Ramsey of Victory Mills; his 3 daughters, Amber Ramsey, Tamatha (James) Ricci, and Sarah Ramsey, all of Victory Mills; his beloved grandson, Jackson Ricci; his sisters, Lillian Brown of Plattsburgh, Patricia Bush and Ruth Palmer of West Milton, Mildred Dickinson and Brenda Stephens of Schuylerville; brothers, Robert Ramsey of Schuylerville, Raymond Gannon of Cambridge, Arthur Gannon of Clinton County; half-brother, Joseph Ramsey of Glens Falls; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Albert’s life will be held from 4-8pm on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the American Legion, Clancy St., Schuylerville.

Memorials can be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
