Obituary of Frederick S. Mitchell

Frederick S. Mitchell, 75, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs.

Born September 19, 1948 in Niskayuna, NY he was the son of the late Joseph T. and Edith Smith Mitchell.

Fred was a graduate of RPI in Troy, NY where he also played hockey.  He was a chemical engineer and had worked for New York State for many years.  He loved to fish and spend time camping in the wilderness.

Survivors include his stepmother, Helena Mitchell; 3 brothers, Joseph T. Mitchell III, Michael Mitchell and William Mitchell; 8 sisters, Linda Dwyer, Nancy Guptil, June Conover, Edith Sampson, Ruth Drumm, Debbie Humphrey, Susan Caswell, and Sherry Kane; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in the spring in the Victory Mills Cemetery.
