Obituary of Cecelia Ann Jennings

Cecelia “CeCe” A. Jennings passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Saratoga Hospital in the presence of her husband John, and family.

She was born December 18, 1960, in Glens Falls, NY, to the late Robert Wilkins and Roberta (Trombley) Wilkins.

Survivors include husband John Jennings of Greenwich; daughters, Rebecca (Kalin Jim) Beecroft, Lisa (Adam) Van Guilder; sister, Cynthia Wilkins; brothers, Robert Wilkins Jr. and Richard Wilkins, stepsons, Joshua (Suzanne) Jennings, Zackery (Luelen) Jennings, Jacob (Mackenzie) Jennings, and Jobe Jennings, 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

CeCe graduated from Hartford Central School in 1979.  She graduated from Adirondack Community College with an associate degree in medical records.  She worked in numerous medical facilities, as a medical secretary. She enjoyed her work, especially as the front desk receptionist, for pediatric physicians and pediatric mental health facilities; she truly loved the children.

CeCe had a second “profession” as a bartender, one she enjoyed thoroughly. Over the course of her life, she worked at numerous bars and watering holes, serving drinks with a smile and a sympathetic ear.  She could tell many stories about football Sunday’s and other nights at the Old Station Inn.  It was there that she and John met for the first time, and it was always a story she loved to tell.

The family would like to thank the Easton-Greenwich Rescue Squad and Saratoga Hospital, especially the Intensive Care Unit for their professionalism and honesty throughout a very difficult time.

Family and friends may pay their respects to CeCe’s family, from 2-5 pm on Friday, February 9th, 2024, at Flynn Bros, Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St, Greenwich, NY 12834.  A memorial service will immediately follow her calling hours, at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Mann officiating.

Family and friends are invited to a reception beginning at 6 pm for CeCe’s last shift at the “W”, the VFW Post #7291, 63 Abeel Avenue, Greenwich, NY, 12834, NY following her service on Friday.
