Obituary of Elizabeth A. Robinson

Elizabeth A. (Betty) Robinson passed away at the home of her daughter on Saturday, January 25, 2104. She was born in Thurman, NY on August 5, 1918 to James N. Dow and Cora (Walker) Dow. Betty enjoyed crocheting, reading, bird watching, word puzzles and being with family. After her husband Sheldon (Chuck) retired, they spent their summers camping on Lake Champlain, mostly at Bulwagga Bay. Betty was predeceased by her husband Sheldon in June 2001. She was also predeceased by her brothers, infant George, Nelson Dow, Duncan Dow, and James Dow; sisters, Sarah Saunders, Julia Kingsley and Gladys Zwijacz; sons-in-law, Robert Mosher and Philip Bergquist, and granddaughter, Pamela Bergquist. Survivors include her daughters, Mary Braim (Gerard) of Gansevoort, Jean Mosher of Bend, OR, Rosalie Bergquist of Gansevoort; her son, Richard (Susan) of Richmond, Indiana; brother, Walter W. Dow (Marion) of Gansevoort; sister, Martha Durkee of Gansevoort; sisters-in-law, Anna Dow and Alvina Dow, both of Gansevoort; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 7pm Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, with Rev. Virginia Cornell, officiating. Spring burial will be in the Bacon Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-7pm prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Wilton Emergency Squad, 1 Harran Lane, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
