Obituary of James W. McCormick

James W. "Jim" McCormick, 60, a resident of Greenwich died Monday January 27, 2014 at Saratoga Hospital after a short illness. Born September 1, 1953 in Cambridge, NY, he was a son of the late Martin and Blanche Currier McCormick. He was a 1972 graduate of Greenwich Central School and worked in several paper mills in the area for many years. He was currently working at Douglas Dyer and Sons Construction in Mechanicville, where he enjoyed working with his co-workers. He enjoyed all sports, especially horse racing. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Saunders, and Blanche Lewis; and one brother, John McCormick. Survivors include the love of his life for the past 37 years, Judy Nulty of Greenwich; his special boys, great nephews, Daniel and Franklin Lewis; his brothers Martin (Helen) McCormick of Scotia, Richard McCormick of Greenwich, and Joseph (Joan) McCormick of Greenwich; his sister, Mary Barrett of Albany; 15 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at the convenience of the family. Spring burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Greenwich. Memorials in his memory can be made to a local charity of one’s choice.
