Obituary of James L. Stewart

James L. Stewart, 73, a resident of Blodgett Rd., died unexpectedly Friday, February 21, 2014 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born January 12, 1941 in Mechanicville, NY he was the son of the late Robert and Nettie Poucher Stewart. James worked in the paper industry for many years. After his retirement, he has worked doing various jobs throughout the local community. He enjoyed NASCAR, his birds, and spending time with his great grandson. He was also a former member of the Fort Edward Fire Department. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Celia Quinones Stewart of Greenwich; his children, Sara Stewart (Michael) of Ashburn, GA, James Stewart (Leigh Ann) of Harrington, DE, Robert Stewart (Amy) of Dover, DE; 1 sister, Patricia Ruthosky of Glens Falls; his grandchildren, Kristina Bennett, Kyle Rasanen, Bethany Pintore, Adam and Jennifer Stewart, Billy and Britni Dinkins, Jacob, Gregory and Jacqueline Stewart; great grandchildren,Giovanni and Giuliana Pintore, Ethan Bennett and Nova Skye Stewart; several nieces and nephews. A mass will be celebrated at 10am Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Notre Dame-Visitation Church, Pearl St., Schuylerville. Spring burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 3-5pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville.
