Obituary of Carl A. Storms

Carl A. Storms, 82, a resident of Easton Station Rd., died peacefully at his home, Saturday, February 22, 2014. Born April 1, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Carl Fowler and Janet Mavesky Storms. Mr. Storms worked as an auto mechanic and retired from Bedard Brothers in Cheshire, MA. He was a former resident of Baldwin, LI and North Adams, MA before moving to Easton in 1974. He was a member and past President of the Church Trustees at Stump Church in Easton and for many years was a member of the Pastor Parish Committee. He was an avid automobile enthusiast, enjoyed hunting, gardening, reading, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jane Fisher Storms of Easton; 2 daughters, Stacey (Theodore) Zwijacz of Acworth, GA and Rebecca (Perry) Valastro of Saratoga Springs; 1 brother, Bruce (Michelle) Storms of Las Vegas, Nevada; 4 grandchildren, Benjamin and T.C. Zwijacz and Emma and Anthony Valastro; as well as many other close family members and friends. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Stump Church Cemetery, Easton, NY.
