Obituary of Richard Gardiner Jr.

Richard Gardiner Jr., 77, a resident of Route 29, Schuylerville, died Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Saratoga Hospital after a short illness. Born December 5, 1936 in New York, NY he was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth Howden Gardiner. Mr. Gardiner resided in Laurence Harbor, NJ with his late wife, Nancy Barber Gardiner for many years. He was an over the road truck driver prior to retiring and moving to Schuylerville in 1999. He was a member of the Stony Creek Rod and Gun Club. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Arthur Gardiner. Survivors include 2 sons, Richard (Mary-Ella) Gardiner of Schuylerville and James (Hedi) Gardiner of Laurence, NJ; grandchildren, Crystal (Mack) Easley of Kittery, ME, Lynn (Nate) Mitchell of Pensacola, FL and Veronica (Colin) Wilson of Santa Cruz, CA; great grandchildren, Isaiah and Lilianna Mitchell of Pensacola, FL; 2 sisters-in-law, Jean Barber Bucek and Sally Barber; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
