Obituary of Jacob D. Pett

Jacob D. Pett, 17, a resident of Lowber Rd., beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 8, 2014 at his home. Born January 15, 1997 in Cambridge, NY he was the son of Daniel and Amy Barnes Pett. Jacob was a Junior at Greenwich High School and was a proud member of the Varsity Football Team. He loved team dinners, his coaches and Friday Night Lights. He also loved snowmobiling, hunting, poker games with his family and many friends, and especially making people laugh. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Bernhard Pett and maternal grandfather, Robert Barnes; uncles, Brian Myers, Sonny D’Angelico, Robert Myers, William Myers, and aunt, Elaine Lindahl. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother at home, Nicholas; paternal grandmother, Margaret Pett and maternal grandmother, Karen Barnes (Dale Emigh), both of Greenwich; and cherished girlfriend, Marisa Peters of Cambridge. Jacob is survived by many wonderful aunts , uncles and cousins including, Rob, Cindi, John, Olivia and Robert Barnes, Cathi and Jim Strain and Katie Andrews, Mary Aldridge,"Uncle" Roddy and Debbie Yackel, Ed and Cindy Waite, godmother, Noelle Nilsen and Brady Waite; Marty and Carol Myers, John and Carol Myers, Larry and Kathy Myers, Ronnie Myers (Jim) and godfather Brian, Adam and Philip Myers, Donna D’Angelico, Robert Lindahl, Helen Myers, Paula Myers, and their families. A funeral mass will be held at 10am Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich with Rev. Martin Fisher, officiating. Friends may call from 4-7pm on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Flynn Bros.
