Obituary of Hattie Burditt

Hattie Beagle Burditt, 85, a resident of Gurn Springs Road and formerly of Albany, died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy, New York. Born March 18, 1929 in Greenwich, NY, she was the daughter of Warren and Etta Martin Bounds. Hattie had been employed as a supervisor at the Wilton Developmental Center for many years and also had severed as a dispatcher and EMT for the Malta Ambulance Corp in the 1970’s. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and made baby blankets for the community and her grandchildren She was loved by everyone that knew her. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Walter A. Beagle, Sr. and Joseph Burditt; grandson, Robert Covell, Jr; 3 son-in-laws and her many siblings. Survivors are her children, Emily Martin, Lenita Zindle, Linda Clark, Leigh McKenzie, Laura Wing, Lucille Perkins, Lona Covell Cole, Lina Garmley, Walter A. Beagle, Jr.; stepson George Roods, stepdaughter, Gail Lineberry; 38 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and adopted children. Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, and 80 Main Street, Greenwich, NY. Interment will be Saturday May 17, 2014 at 1 PM at the Gansevoort Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Malta Ambulance Corp, American Cancer Society, or American Heart Association.
