Obituary of Marian C. Shults

Marian (Carnrite) Shults, age 95, of Saratoga Springs, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 She was the daughter of Dr. James and Edna Carnrite of Fort Plain, New York, and lived there until her husband Jack’s (Raymond) death in 1987. Marian enjoyed teaching 8th grade English and other subjects in the Fort Plain schools for over 20 years. She was the first woman on the first call of the Fort Plain volunteer ambulance corps and volunteered as well at the public library. She was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church of Fort Plain and the Presbyterian Congregational Church of Saratoga Survivors include her son Mark Shults (and spouse Nancy Vedder-Shults) of Madison, WI, her daughter Susan Shults of Schuylerville, N.Y. and granddaughter Linnea Vedder-Shults of Brooklyn, N.Y.
