In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Dorothy Caroline Warner who died January 18, 2014 and his twin daughters, Susan Warner as an infant, and Sandra Florence Warner in 2013. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Caroline Warner, Merry Martha Warner, Ladean Helen Warner (and her husband Joseph) Adamiszyn and his grandchildren, Rebekah Dubois, Jami LaCasse, Katie and Joshua Adamiszyn and his great children, Matthew and Anna Schraven, and Jeremiah LaCasse and his sister, Marge Stoddard, and his niece Jennie (and her husband Gary) Barchet and his nephew Robert (and his wife Pearlene) Stoddard and their children, and his nephews, James, Neil and Joel Warner and his niece Nancy Riegel, and their children. Walter was a US Army Veteran in both Second Infantry Division of World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from the Conrail Railroad (formerly the Erie Lackawanna) and still had a great love for trains though he was glad not to be working on the railroad anymore. Walter was a devoted husband and father. He loved to do home renovations and wood working and was known in the neighborhood for the wooden cows that he kept in the yard. He was very active in his local church and led a bible study for many years. Dad was a strong believer in helping his community and fellow man. He enjoyed giving rides to the elderly and helping out in any way that he could. He was a quiet man who still managed to have a huge impact your life. He will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at 11am Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Schuylerville United Methodist Church with Pastor Al Johnson, officiating.
