Obituary of Frank A. Scaglione
Frank A. Scaglione, 72, a resident of County Route 67, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 8, 2014 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Born March 4 1942 in Greenwich, NY he was the son of the late Vito and Marjorie Riley Scaglione.
Frank was a US Navy Veteran serving 4 years on the USS Ranger. He owned and operated Midtown Service in Schuylerville for the past 30 years. He was a member of Old Saratoga Post #278 American Legion, he collected toy trucks and tow trucks, and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Barbara Weils Scaglione of Schuylerville; 5 sons, Aaron Weils (Dawn) of Glens Falls, William Brown (Nichole) of Ft. Edward, Frank Tony Scaglione Jr. of Mechanicville, Matthew Brown (Ashleigh) of Hudson Falls, Corey Brown (Lisa) of Hudson Falls; 3 daughters, Victoria Scaglione (Doug) of Athens, Crystal Babcock (Jay) of Milford, CT, Dawn Scaglione (Joseph) of Schuylerville; 1 brother, Tom Scaglione of Kenewick, WA; 2 sisters, Betty Washburn of Granville and Mary Guile of Buskirk; 22 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30am Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville with Rev. William Cahill, officiating. Burial will follow at 10:30am at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the funeral home.
