Obituary of Lindon C. Merrill

Lindon Charles Merrill 61, passed away at Glens Falls Hospital on August 23, 2014 surrounded by the people he loved. He was born December 9, 1952 in Whitehall, NY. Lindon joined the United States Army at the age of 18 in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1973. Lindon worked for Municipal Sales where he was a driver and operator of trucks. He also loved to travel to many places with his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Philomena; and his sisters, Patricia and Margaret. Survivors include his sons, Anthony and Aaron Merrill of Gansevoort; daughters, Catherine and Barbara of Kentucky; granddaughters, Samantha and Christine; sisters, Bonny Burnette, Angela Sweet (Myron), Deborah Carter (Perry), Ardelle McGrane, Francine Ellis, Jacquline Germain (Rick), Melissa Merrill, and Norma Fox (Jeff); several nieces and nephews, his significant other Catherine and members of the Perry family including Brenda, Amanda, Chrystal, Thomas, Scott, Shannon, and Sonya Perry. A funeral service will be held at 12pm Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave. Schuylerville with Rev. Virginia Cornell, officiating. Burial will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 10-12pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
