Obituary of Gladys M. Yandell

Gladys M. Yandell, 77, of Furlani Drive, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, October 18, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Born August 1, 1937 in Castleton, VT she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace Kelley. Gladys worked for Glens Falls Hospital for 32 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved the company of her great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 24 years, Clifford Yandell; her brothers, Robert, Reggie and Raymond Kelley; her sister, Hazel Blackman; her sons, Charles and Joseph Sousis; her daughters, Tracey and Tina Sousis; and her granddaughter, Angel Sousis. Survivors include her son, Raynard Sousis and his wife Charlotte of Bulverde, TX; her daughter, Berneice Male of Schuylerville; her brother, Richard Kelley and his wife Joyce of Brunswick; her sister Darlene Timms of Queensbury; grandchildren, Tanya Smith, Heidi Rodriguez, Ray Sousis Jr., Alex Pinkerton, Karina and Quinn Sousis, and twelve great-grandchildren. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Friends and family are invited to attend a gathering celebrating Gladys’ life at the American Legion, 6 Clancy St., Schuylerville on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 5-7pm. The family would like to thank the compassionate people of the Hospice of Saratoga for the wonderful care they provided during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made in her name to The Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
