Obituary of Arthur E. Reinhardt

Arthur E. Reinhardt, 95, a long time resident of Greenwich passed away peacefully Monday, October 20, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Born November 24, 1918 in Newark, NJ, he was the son of Robert and Anna Reinhardt. Arthur served in the United States Army overseas in Italy during WWII, where he served as a truck driver. He was an avid sports fan and his favorite team was the New York Yankees. He enjoyed bowling and was the Past Post Commander and Lifetime member of the American Legion Liberty Post #515 in Greenwich. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sister Virginia Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Elizabeth D. Reinhardt; 2 sons John (Dawn) Reinhardt of Gansevoort; Jason (Jessica) Reinhardt of Greenwich; 3 daughters Betsy Sumner of Ballston Spa; Kathy (Carl) Hichman of Glens Falls; and Susan Shinn; 4 grandchildren John, Jessica, Glen and Joshua and 7 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 6pm Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich with Rev. Sandra Spaulding officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-6pm prior to the service. Interment will be at Saratoga National Cemetery Tuesday, October 28,2014 at 2PM. Donations in Arthur's name may be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
