Obituary of Terrance G. Fleming

Terrance "Terry" Fleming, 72, a resident of Park Drive, passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, October 18, 2014 on his birthday. Born October 18, 1942 in Granville, he was the son of Anna Osborne Fleming of South Glens Falls and the late George Fleming. Terry was a US Navy veteran. Through the years he held several sales jobs in the area. In 1972 he became a member of National Bassmasters, and later joined the Albany area Bassmasters. Fishing was his passion and he enjoyed spending time on the water with family and friends. He fished in several National tournaments. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by 1 brother, William Fleming and stepson, Randi Lamb. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Joan Conkey Fleming of Greenwich; 2 sisters, Christine Hurd of Hawaii and Connie (Jeff) Palmer of Queensbury; 1 brother, Michael (Lee) Fleming of Queensbury; 2 stepdaughters, Joni (Alan) Henderson of Easton and Luewona (Paul) Scalard of Utah; 7 grandchildren, grandson and fishing buddy Brady Moy, Alana and Chelsie Henderson, Tawny (John) Shamro, Trevor Jordan, Geremy and Shannon Lamb; and 4 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Family and friends are invited to a reception following the service at 3:30 pm at the American Legion Liberty Post #515 19 Abeel Ave., Greenwich. Memorials can be made in his memory to the Easton Greenwich Rescue Squad PO Box 84, Greenwich, NY 12834 or the American Legion, 19 Abeel Ave., Greenwich.
