Obituary of Napoleon J. Irish

Napolean J. Irish, 91, a resident of Green St., passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Home of the Good Shephard in Gansevoort, NY. Born November 7, 1923 in Schuylerville, NY he was the son of the late Bertis and Flora Irish Sr. Mr. Irish was 1942 graduate of Schuylerville Central School. He served with the US Army during WWII. He retired from Sulli's Supermarket in Schuylerville where he had worked as a butcher for many years. He had been a member of the General Schuyler Emergency Squad, the Schuylerville Fire Department, and the Schuylerville Police Department. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Irish who died July 27, 2014; 1 daughter, Geraldine Irish; 1 son, Ronald Irish; and siblings Bertis Jr., Maddox, Gilbert, Cora and Adelaide. Survivors include his children, Thomas (Patricia) Irish of Atlanta, GA, Stephen (Jerri) Irish of Victory Mills, Christopher (Kristi) Irish of Schuylerville, Paul (Liz) Irish of Saratoga Springs, and Patricia (Otto) Anderhub of Pembroke Pines, FL; 7 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10am Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the Schuylerville United Methodist Church. Spring burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 4-7pm at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville.
