Obituary of Beatrice M. Pechette

Beatrice Wilson Pechette passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs at the age of 95. Born September 24, 1919 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Amy Wilson. Mrs. Pechette was a graduate of Schuylerville Central School and Oneonta Teachers College. She was a teacher for 30 years in the South Glens Falls and Schuylerville Central Schools. She was a member of Old Saratoga Reformed Church & Women's Guild for Christian Service. After her retirement, she taught Sunday school, weekday church school and Bible study. As a member of the community, she belonged to the Garden Club, Home Bureau, and was a volunteer for the Office of the Aging. She enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, traveling and reading. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, L. Richard Pechette; sister, Lillian Wanmer, and brother, Henry Wilson. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Douglas (Jane) Pechette of Colorado, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, with Rev. Janet Vincent, officiating. Burial will follow in the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Friends may call Thursday from 10:30am – 12:30pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
