Obituary of Lorraine Forbes

Lorraine Forbes, 93, a lifelong Northumberland resident, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at The Pines in Glens Falls. Born January 8, 1922 in Northumberland, NY she was the daughter of the late Milo and Georgiana Brown DeGrechie. Mrs. Forbes was a graduate of Schuylerville High School and attended Albany Business School. During World War II she was employed at GE in Schenectady. She was a communicant of Notre Dame-Visitation Church in Schuylerville. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald Forbes in 1969; her daughter, Linda Miller; and sister, Theresa Webb. Survivors include her son, Timothy (Kathy) Forbes of Northumberland; 1 grandson, James (Chris) Parillo of Greenwich; 2 great grandchildren, Brendan and Brody Parillo; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in the Bacon Hill Cemetery. Memorials can be made in her memory to the Humane Society.
